Join us on Tuesday October 8th at 12:30 for another extraordinary steakhouse venue. Our friends at Bobby Vans Steakhouse located at 25 Broad St, New York, N.Y. will host us once again in their famous Vault room. Your lunch will consist of your choice of Filet Mignon, Chicken or Fish with all the essential steakhouse sides. The meal includes salad as well as desert and coffee. The bar will be open for unlimited wine, beer and soda. The price for this luncheon will be an unbelievable $65. There will be a $4 administrative fee added for a total cost of $69.

Fred W. Tanner

NYPD Office of Professional Development

Fred Tanner is a native of Brooklyn, NY and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York, College at Brockport in 1997.  Upon graduation with a degree in Criminal Justice, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army as an Infantry Officer.  Executive Director (ED) Tanner’s military assignments include leading at echelons ranging from 40 Soldier platoons to 1200 Soldier task forces.  His operational experiences include deployments to Operation Iraqi Freedom, the Horn of Africa, and multiple tours in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His awards and decorations include multiple Bronze Star Medals, the Defense Meritorious Service Medals, the Meritorious Service Medals, the Joint Service Commendation Medals, the Army Commendation Medals, and the Army Achievement Medals. He has been awarded the Ranger Tab, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Combat Infantryman’s badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Pathfinder Badge. In December 2018, after rising to the rank of Colonel in the Army, ED Tanner retired from military service to lead the NYPD’s newly created Office of Professional Development (OPD).

The mission of the Office of Professional Development is to empower all members of the service to pursue a fulfilling career to include the opportunity for continuous learning, and professional growth, in order to develop NYPD leaders with the skills and attributes to be successful in all positions.
